A Level Result Collection

A Level Results Day - Thursday 13th August 2020.

As you will be aware, Ofqual have ensured that all Year 13 students will collect their A Level and Level 3 BTEC results on the original day they had planned - Thursday 13th August 2020, despite the turbulence that has surrounded formal assessment processes this academic year. This year, Maltby Academy will deliver results day in a manner that is conducive to the maintenance of ‘social distancing’.

We feel that it is vital that all our Year 13 students to have the opportunity to collect their A Level and BTEC results in person and speak to members of staff, so support can be provided when signing up for their progression routes. Consequently, students will be allowed access to the Academy site to do this.

How will students collect their results?

Results will be available for collection from 8.30am. Students should not arrive at the Academy before this time and upon arrival they should adhere to social distancing.

If students have any queries or questions regarding their results, they will be able to speak to members of staff including the Post 16 team and Senior Leadership team. A careers advisor will also be available on site as well as via phone lines and PC access for UCAS applications and to access further guidance from universities with also be provided. If required, follow up meetings can also be arranged.

Unfortunately, parents/carers will not be permitted to accompany children when collecting results.

What happens if students are unable to attend and require someone else to collect their results?

Another person may collect the results but must bring a signed letter confirming permission to do so from the student. This person must also present proof of their own identity. Results cannot be given out without this.

Which centre should students collect their results from?

Student results will only be available from the site at which they are 'hubbed'. (This is where they have their tutor time). If you are unsure which site you should attend please email Mr Boon at to confirm this before 13th August.

What happens if students do not collect their results?

Results will remain in school and will need to be collected at a suitable time.
