Passport to the Prom

To be eligible to attend the Prom, Year 11 students must meet the following criteria:

Your child has the opportunity to attend the Prom and Breakfast and Ballgowns celebrations.

The Prom will be held at Doncaster Racecourse on Thursday 2nd July 2020.

The Prom is a privilege and reward for students who have shown commitment to achievement during Year 11. To be eligible to attend both events, students will have to finish the school year on a positive number of achievement points. The point system has been designed in a way by which students are in control of redeeming their behaviour. These are outlined below:

Attendance must be 96% + to receive an invitation to the Prom, the attendance team however will make the final decision on this should any medical reason etc affect overall attendance.

Remember …

It’s a privilege, not a right to attend.

The Academy will make the final decision on Friday 3rd April 2020 as students break up for Easter holidays, based on their effort to be at the Academy on time and if they are trying hard in lessons and revising.

As an Academy event, the Academy reserves the right to refuse a place, due to serious poor behaviour at any point throughout the year and leading up to and including the Prom night.

Use the tracker on the tutorial page on the e-portal and record your attendance and punctuality in your planner.
