Maltby Academy received a one day, short inspection on 14th March 2017, where we received the following judgements:

GOOD with OUTSTANDING capacity to improve
The Academy was inspected under the new Ofsted framework and we are delighted with the outcome. The team recognised the many improvements since the last inspection of 2012 and endorsed the outstanding capacity to secure excellence within and beyond the Academy.
Ofsted acknowledged the high standard of education provided by the school and commended our commitment to all young people to achieve academically and develop emotionally. The outcome is testament to the hard work and dedication of our talented staff and governors within the Academy and Learning Trust, the exceptional young people and the support provided by parents/carers and the broader community. The Academy continues to be good with the quality of leadership and management considered to be outstanding.
We welcome this external validation of our excellent work but are not complacent. We are committed to continuing our drive towards the next level of performance and influencing other schools across the region.

Ofsted Subject Specific Inspection - February 2014
In February 2014, Ofsted carried out a two day subject specific inspection of Mathematics. Ofsted awarded Maltby Academy's Maths department with outstanding.

Ofsted Inspection - May 2012
Maltby Academy received a two day, full section 5 Ofsted inspection in May 2012, where we received good with outstanding leadership and management. During the inspection, inspectors observed lessons, looked at students' work and analysed data with the leadership team.
