Families Invited to Take a ‘Journey Through Time’ at Maltby Academy Open Evening

Families across Rotherham are invited to discover what life is like at Maltby Academy during its Year 5 and 6 Open Evening on Tuesday 29 September from 5pm to 7pm.
The event offers prospective students and their families the opportunity to explore the academy, meet staff and students, and experience its unique ‘Journey Through Time’ theme.
Visitors will be able to tour classrooms and facilities, take part in themed activities, learn more about the academy’s curriculum and enrichment opportunities, and gain a real insight into day-to-day life at the school. Presentations for families will take place at 5.15pm and 5.45pm.
Richard Wood, Principal of Maltby Academy, said:
“We know that choosing a secondary school is one of the most important decisions families make, and our Open Evening is a fantastic opportunity to experience everything that Maltby Academy has to offer. We are proud of the ambitious, supportive and inclusive environment we have created, where every young person is encouraged to achieve their very best. We look forward to welcoming families into our academy and showing them the opportunities, experiences and high-quality education that help our students thrive.”
The evening will also highlight the academy’s commitment to personal development, wellbeing and academic excellence, giving families the chance to see first-hand how students are supported to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
Maltby Academy is part of Place Partnership – A Multi-Academy Trust, a family of 12 academies across Doncaster, Rotherham and Wakefield, working together to provide exceptional educational opportunities for young people across the region.
Families planning to attend are welcome to reserve a place in advance to help the academy prepare for the evening. However, booking is not required, and all families are warmly invited to come along.
