Sixth Former to represent GB in ice hockey

Liam is ready to go to Korea.

MA student Liam Kirk has been playing ice hockey for 14 years and his commitment, dedication and talent in this sport has paid off as Liam is now part of the Sheffield Steelers team. He scored his first goal for the Steelers against Coventry Blades last year which was a fantastic moment for him.

Liam is also in the trials for Under 18 level and went to Romania as part of the trials. Liam has now been selected to represent Great Britain in the Ice Hockey Team at the forthcoming U18 World Championship in Korea. The GB team train all over the UK including at Sheffield and Liam will also go to Slovakia to train ahead of the championships in Korea.

Liam combines this with his school work and everyone at MA are very proud of him and wish him and the team success in Korea.
