The Academy was inspected under the new Ofsted framework and we are delighted with the outcome.

Maltby Academy received a one day, short inspection on 14th March 2017, where we received the following judgements:

Leadership & Management: Outstanding

Quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment: Good

Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare: Good

Outcomes for Students: Good

Overall Effectiveness: Good with outstanding capacity to improve

The Academy was inspected under the new Ofsted framework and we are delighted with the outcome. The team recognised the many improvements since the last inspection of 2012 and endorsed the outstanding capacity to secure excellence within and beyond the Academy.

Ofsted acknowledged the high standard of education provided by the school and commended our commitment to all young people to achieve academically and develop emotionally. The outcome is testament to the hard work and dedication of our talented staff and governors within the Academy and Learning Trust, the exceptional young people and the support provided by parents/carers and the broader community. The Academy continues to be good with the quality of leadership and management considered to be outstanding.

We welcome this external validation of our excellent work but are not complacent. We are committed to continuing our drive towards the next level of performance and influencing other schools across the region.
