ICT trip to Bletchley Park

Y9 GCSE Computer Science students have visited The National Museum of Computing at Bletchley Park.

Y9 GCSE Computer Science students have visited The National Museum of Computing at Bletchley Park. They learnt about the history of computing and also about how important computing and maths were during the code breaking effort of World War II. They saw some of the worlds oldest computers and had a go at playing on some early computer games.

They also did an activity where they had to write a program that could respond to questions as if it were a human, and another where they had to create a 'Snake' style game by writing some of their own code. Click here for pictures.

It was an educational, interesting and fun day that gave students an insight into the early days of computing and how it has developed over the years.
