Rotherham Shakespeare Festival

Students take part in the largest, local youth Shakespeare festival.

After months of hard work during lunchtimes and after-school rehearsals, a group of Year 7 students finally took to the stage to perform Macbeth at Magna Science and Adventure Centre. The performance was part of the Rotherham Shakespeare Festival, a hugely successful collaboration between Open Minds Theatre Company and local schools, whereby each school is responsible for performing one act of one of Shakespeare’s many plays.

MA’s students were tasked with performing the tragic and violent final act of Macbeth. The students were sensational throughout the day and delivered a truly memorable performance.
