Students explore the latest in science, technology and engineering.
A group of year 8 and 9 students visited Magna in Rotherham for the Get up to Speed with STEM event.
This showcase event provided students with an opportunity to see some of the UK's most exciting science, technology and engineering inventions, and meet the people who design, build and operate them. Students were able to speak to businesses, inventors, apprentices and education providers on the future of these industries. There were also plenty of hands on activities which provided Maths, Science and Design and Technology based problem solving challenges, as well as team building and skills based challenges.
The trip, which proved hugely popular with students, was jointly organised by the Maths, Science and Design and Technology departments and looks set to become a regular fixture on the school calendar.
