More Able (HAPs) 

Maltby Academy aim to provide a curriculum that is appropriate to the needs and abilities of all our students. Our teaching and learning strategy enables each child to reach for the highest level of personal achievement. We recognise and support the needs of those students in our school who have been identified as more able according to national guidelines, and we aim to: 

• enable students to develop to their full potential; 

• ensure that we challenge and extend the students through the work that we set them; 

• provide career advice and exposure to a range of aspirational careers; 

• encourage students to think and work independently. 

These opportunities take place both in the classroom and through extra curricular activities. 

If you would like to support your child further in their progress, then please see the links below for suitably challenging material. If students would prefer a hard copy of this material, they can request them from their teacher. All class teachers will happily mark and provide feedback on any work completed and will also award Aspiration House Points.
